Portrait photographer Cheryl Spelts' images are fresh and modern and always beautiful! She shoots primarily in Southern California, including Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, and San Diego Counties.
Portrait photography is a deeply satisfying art form for me as an artist. Not only am I creating beautiful images, but I'm also creating heirloom photos that will be passed down to future generations. But perhaps even more important to me personally, I'm searching for and finding, and then capturing the great beauty in each person who comes in front of my camera. It really is true that everyone is beautiful in their own way, and it's just a matter of taking the time to find the right combination of angle and light to make you look your best. It's one of my greatest joys as a portrait photographer to do that for someone!

I almost exclusively shoot on location, all over Southern California - which means beautiful light and great locations are a given. If you have a location in mind that has special significance in your life, that's the best! Good choices are urban city areas, trendy shopping districts, areas that are wooded or have other interesting scenery, or maybe your own backyard! A great portrait can be made just about anywhere, so let your imagination run wild!
As a portrait photographer all I really need is beautiful light, an interesting location, and a willing subject - then add a little magic, and voilą! I promise you'll love the results!
