I love music! Especially live music. There’s just something about being in the front row, when a show is about to start - the anticipation is electric! And then the music starts...
Visually, every concert yields multiple opportunities for iconic, fabulous images - and as a concert photographer it’s my job to find those moments - it’s all about the decisive moment - the culmination, the peak of the action, the moment when everything comes together, and there’s magic. I love my job!

When shooting concerts, I work almost exclusively with the available stage light - I rarely augment with flash, since true stage lighting is so much more dynamic than any light I could add. When you view my images after the show, I want you to feel what the show was like - really feel it - and that’s only possible if I respect the lighting, as the audience experienced it live. (Occasionally, in a tiny dark bar, with only one red light that’s not aimed anywhere near the band, I will augment with a little flash - but it’s definitely not my first choice.)
Live Concert Photography starts at $300 and includes the rights to reproduce images on posters, promo cards, web sites, and for the first 1500 CDs printed and/or distributed for one project. Broader rights are definitely negotiable! Just ask!
Live concert shoots include travel to the concert within Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Las Vegas areas, and delivery of 20-25 images on a CD.
If you would like to book me for a concert, give me a call at 951-732-8050, or email me, or you can book directly through my online booking system.
